TC312 Series —— High Voltage Polymer Solid Tantalum Chip Capacitors

Overview

TC312 series high voltage polymer tantalum is designed for higher application voltage such as 16V, 20V, 25V and 35V. The series demonstrates excellent high voltage handling capabilities and reliability, and is commonly selected as a replacement for other high capacitance dielectrics such as MnO2 tantalum and aluminum. In addition, the series has ultra low ESR, and exhibit a benign failure mode which eliminates ignition failure mode that can occur in MnO2 tantalum types. Therefore application safety can be strongly improved.

Background

Thanks to its excellent performance,Solid Tantalum Chip Capacitor has been widely used in many fields. With the raising requirement on miniaturization and high-performance of electronic devices, the demand of Solid Tantalum Chip Capacitor is raising steadily,which drive it into low ESR in meanwhile. Nowadays, MnO2 tantalum capacitors can’t meet the high request for ESR, so polymer tantalum capacitors will be the main trend during tantalum capacitor development. However, there is no way to get high voltage polymer tantalum capacitor by the traditional process. Owing to our continuous hard work, we have successfully developed high voltage polymer tantalum capacitor.
